Kyle's Background
I grew up on an orange grove in Central California watching my dad work long days. During middle school and high school, I worked along side him before heading off to college at Cal Poly, where I studied to become a Physical Therapist.
But after school, I was introduced to a faith-based men's mentoring program that changed my personal and professional trajectories. The group of 18 to 25-year-olds I had the privilege of guiding at the time—considered "unleadable" by many professionals—was the catalyst for facilitating dramatic change, not only for them but for myself, as well.
Many of these young men realized their best chance of making things work was in the trades/blue-collar industries.
During my work at the mentoring academy, I ran a pet resort for 3 1/2 years and got mentoring from a 20+ year retired police officer/deputy sheriff.
In hindsight, I clearly see how my experiences as the son of a farmer, running a pet resort, being an entrepreneur, father, and husband, along with my life-long fascination with psychology and human behavior, led me to the path of professional coaching. There’s nothing I’d rather be doing than equipping business owners to increase their personal and professional freedom with a fresh mindset and new tools.

Experiences and Current Interests
Working with business owners in these industries and helping them with the mindset and habits of the leadership framework I've built has become my passion. My vision is to build a community of blue-collar-minded professionals who desire to run their businesses for His Kingdom, not theirs. Eventually, building the community to the point where I can open a mentoring program with their support. These community members then will have the opportunity to serve as mentors to the young men in the mentoring program and potentially be able to provide jobs for when the guys exit the program.
I chose Blue Shirt Coaching because "blue shirt" represents the blue-collar industry and what the color means. The meaning of Blue, or what it represents, is described as trustworthy, responsible, loyal, authoritative, honest, committed, and more. These are the attributes I've seen in every blue-collar business owner I've known or worked with.
I have helped small business owners and leaders around the country to take their businesses from good to great. I'm an ICF coach, behavioral analyst, and creator of the Blue Shirt Leadership Framework that helps blue-collar leaders and small business owners become the leaders they're meant to be.
As a mindset coach specializing in helping clients understand how their thoughts affect their lives and business, I understand what it takes for someone’s mindset to change.
My focus is on helping his clients become more Self-aware, develop uncommon Accountability, maintain a Growth mindset, and Empower others to achieve amazing things. Through the Blue Shirt Business Community and 1-on-1 coaching, I help business owners shift their mindsets and habits to become the leaders they are meant to be.
I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, or going to the CrossFit gym when I'm not working with clients. I'm deeply involved in his church and working with local non-profits to volunteer and raise support for them. I'm married to Kari and have three amazing daughters.
